Sister Somalia is the first rape crisis center in the country, established to support survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in rebuilding and reclaiming their lives.
We provide comprehensive, life-saving assistance through our one-stop crisis centers operating across multiple regions. Services include psychosocial counseling, trauma healing, and emergency medical care. All delivered with compassion, confidentiality, and respect.
Sister Somalia has pioneered systems that respond directly to incidents of SGBV while addressing their physical, psychological, and societal impacts on women and girls.
Our approach goes beyond recovery, it focuses equally on empowerment. We equip survivors with the skills and confidence to lead self-determined lives, fostering resilience and long-term independence.
Through this initiative, we support lasting transformation, which helps individuals move from crisis to strength, and from survival to empowerment.
