One of the greatest barriers preventing youth and women from competing effectively in the workforce is the lack of practical, marketable skills. We address this gap by providing free technical and vocational training tailored to the realities of the Somali context.
We believe that skills development is a fundamental step toward economic empowerment. By strengthening the capacities of vulnerable community members, we enhance their prospects for employment, income generation, and ultimately their ability to break free from intergenerational cycles of violence, economic dependency, and poverty.
Too often, vocational programs fail to meet local needs, and offer training that is either too costly, irrelevant to the market, or disconnected from community realities. Our vocational training institutes counter this by delivering accessible, high-quality training in the most in-demand and profitable sectors in Somalia, informed by annual market and labor force assessments.
We continuously innovate and update our curriculum each year to ensure that the skills we teach remain relevant and transformative, which enable youth and women to pursue dignified livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to the economic and social fabric of their communities
